I love listening to music while I work out. I think it totally just pumps you up and keeps you motivated. When I’m in the studio at the gym and lifting weights, I love putting on a little hiphop to get me going. I think have a specific play list for the gym and for your longer runs is important to keep yourself from getting bored. Personally, I get bored when I run on a treadmill, which is why I love running outdoors and trying different trails around regional parks, but sometimes, it’s just too cold for that!
Also, I’ve recently been experimenting with audio books while on runs. It’s interesting, but sometimes Classics are really hard to understand when you don’t have the text in front of you to annotate. There are audio books apps on the iPhone, and I’m sure Android too, that have a bunch of free books!
